Rewriting my review because I ran out characters on the last one. I have now attended 6 different events/courses with Coach Can: cornering school days 1-3, track academy/cornering school day 4, a 1-on-4 track day at Thunderhill West, and coach's hosted track event at Thunderhill West again. Beginning with the cornering school, it is an absolute must for anybody trying to really get into street/track riding. He goes over many basic skills that every rider should have under their belt, as well as a couple more technical ones that are beneficial in crucial moments. I've been riding motoX for 20 years, but riding street/track is a completely different beast. The cornering school was technically my introduction to street riding, and I completely believe it is the best way to learn. This class skyrocketed my confidence level on asphalt and gave me some really good tools that I've applied numerous times on the track now. Highly suggest taking all 3 days. On to the 1-on-4 track day coaching with Can. The first few sessions are spent following him and getting a feel for the track, ideal racing line, and understanding how to find reference points for turning in and braking. After that, he follows you for a session while you try to apply what you've learned so far. Right after that session, he meticulously breaks down what you're doing well and where you can improve, which is definitely where I gained the most knowledge. Not only is he a great teacher, but he also is just generally fun to hang out with off the track. Stories get told of his old racing days and it's hard not to admire the dedication to his craft. Lastly, my most recently attended event of his was a track day at Thunderhill West hosted by him and his crew. Overall it was a great day. Very well organized with no loss of on-track time, which is about as much as you can ask for. Another great thing about it was that all the riders in my group were extremely respectful and courteous to each other, with minimal conflicts on the day. I was also able to set my personal best lap time, so I may be biased, but it was my favorite day on a track so far. Looking forward to going to another one of his events soon!

Great course for an old-timer newbie like myself. Coach Can Akkaya admirably addressed both experts and the newbies. That is a pedagogical skill that is difficult to do. Coach Can had outstanding command of the participants and the well-structured organization of the training really was excellent. The staff too was super supportive and inspired confidence. Did a Track Rookie day with Superbike Coach and was able to learn so much from Coach. This helped me prepare for my track days both mentally and physically. Will definitely be coming back for more classes and track drill days. Edit: Went back to see Coach for Cornering Day 1. It was definitely an eye-opener for me. I thought I knew Counter-Steering but found out that I was barely scratching the surface of this technique. Coach not only explained to us this concept in more technical terms but also had us doing drills that reinforced what we just learned. Although it is a counter-steering drill, it is not like those drills you find at your beginner classes. I'm glad I went back and took Coach's Cornering class and also can't wait to attend all of the classes that Coach offers.

Stop what you're doing and get yourself into the next available class. I started riding motorcycles at 17 and have been riding off and on in the years since. And in that time, I have learned bad technique, developed bad habits, and became discouraged about riding. Coach Can has transformed my discouragement into excitement. I now know very specific ways I can change my approach, apply better, proven technique, and get much more enjoyment from riding. The methods and the environment Coach creates are fantastic, his staff are amazing, and I can honestly say, I believe Coach Can saved my riding career. He's an amazing guy, a great character, and his school is worth every penny and then some. JUST GO!

I've been riding for about 6 years and was eager to improve my riding skills. A friend referred me to Superbike Coach and I'm glad he did. My first experience was Corning School 1. Location was easy to get to. The track was great for learning and improving skills. The instructor and team were on-time and ran everything smoothly and safely. Will return.

This is an excellent class with a coach who’s passionate for sharing his life-long experience and practice in motorcycle skills. All he asks is for your commitment and willingness to learn. I just finished cornering day 1. I can’t wait to do 2 and 3 this fall. I’ve also done the knee down and wheelie class, but I recommend at least cornering day 1 first. I’m also taking a suspension tuning class next month, because I know nothing about that. My first priority are safety skills. That’s why I take classes like this. Plus you get to practice on a fun little track.

Finished CSD day 1; Coach Can is passionate about this course and WANTS us to be better. I saw him put his soul into his lessons and that helped me connect with the class. Briefings in between sessions helped boost confidence and knowledge. I instantly improved cornering lines I will definitely be returning for Day 2 to get to learn more advanced techniques from Coach Can.

Never been on a motorcycle before, Can made it simple and easy. Great guy who clearly loves his job. Can't wait to go again.

Highly recommend taking the beginner lessons with Coach Can. He is very knowledgeable, and his experience speaks to it. He was very patient, calm, and had a lot of tips and tricks to help me get comfortable riding. He could tell me exactly where I needed to correct my skills, and it made a difference. I literally did not think I would be riding within the hour. He made that happen, esp. with someone who is a complete black slate. Bonus was being able to rent his bike, because I wasn't sure I could even ride. The price of the lesson, renting the bike, and having a professional like Coach Can made the experience amazing enough to sign up for more lessons!
